A Our contries Association of Lutheran Churches was formed in November 7, 1987 as an alternative guide for churches in The American Lutheran Church who did not are section of a merger by using 2 more Lutheran church bodies which formed the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

A AALC began by having Dozen congregations & hwhen, as of 2005, grown to 87 congregations spread across Xxiii states. A AALC understands itself in the conservative middle of Lutheranism in the United States. A AALC operates its have seminary, A American Lutheran Theological Seminary, located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. ALTS has relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana & is hosted by Concordia Theological Seminary of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod in the fall of 2005. A AALC agents come located in Bloomington, Minnesota.
